In Menton: The only way to compute

Photos from Paris. #1: Jen seeks philosophical inspiration at Café des Deux Magots.
#2: Looking south toward Hôtel national des Invalides

Jen with friend Carolyn Lebel.
Carolyn let us crash her appartment near Musée D'Orsay.

Modern art festival in Place Bellecour, Lyon -- celebrated aptly by defiling Louis XIV
statue with pumpkin head.
Lots of bizarre art media and people in berets. "Guttmann would love this crap,"
we kept mutterring.

This is the car we drove from Paris to the Riviera. I took this shot while we were
visiting Grenoble ... where I found a cool cybercafé full of pre-pubescent French kids
playing Half-Life: Counterstrike.

heading south, passing by the alps

Menton, France -- where we spent 12 days. #1: Jen on the balcony of our apartment. #2:
Downtown Menton.

Visit to casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco -- a.k.a. Rip-off-ville, a.k.a.
Stuck-Up-Doormen-Won't-Let-You-In-Without-A-Shirt-ville.

Beach photos. Unfortunately, Jen resisted my appeals to "get comfortable with the
camera."
Second photo: View of our fourth-floor apt. from the beach.
